“That’s what keeps you going,” Wilshere told BT Sport. “When you’re in the gym, it’s hard work. Seeing the other boys going training and enjoying it – it’s tough.
“Knowing that I set myself a target of going to the Euros and getting back to help the lads win the Premier League – that’s what keeps you going.”
Jack Wilshere has set his sights on Arsenal’s return leg against Barcelona as a possible fixture in which to make his comeback.
“The problems been quite clear,” he added. “I broke my leg in training the day before the charity shield, I didn’t think I’d need surgery but I did.
“I’m running. It gets harder and harder to get back into the Premier League.
“I think with me, all of my injuries have been impact injuries. My first was an ankle injury which took a while to heal so I think it’s just the way I play.
“I think this is probably the best group of players in terms of personalities and I think that’s important. [Back for the Barcelona game?] Maybe… three weeks. I hope so. Maybe.”
If Jack Wilshere back fit again ahead of Barca clash then Arsenal will get the chance to beat them at the Emirates with him and Coquelin at the midfield.
