Arsene Wenger brought the 33-year-old keeper to Arsenal last summer for around £10million and he’s affirmed his place at one of finest keepers in the league with his performances this season.
Thibaut Courtois established himself as the Blues’ No 1 under Jose Mourinho last season, with Cech only featuring in cup competitions and just seven Premier League games.
Cech reveals the desicion to move to Arsenal from Chelsea was a ‘good choice’ as he explained below and now he is helping his best to lift the premier league title with the Gunners.
“I made a good choice,” Cech told Canal+. “I had to decide between disappointing Chelsea fans & being happy.
“After 10 yrs thinking of club, I put myself first.”
“I don’t know if Wenger sleeps better since he bought me. But when I met him, he explained how the club functions and I liked it.”
Cech won a Premier League medal with Chelsea last season and he believes he can repeat the feat with Arsenal.
“I knew Arsenal had the team to challenge for the title,” he added. “We just need consistency.
“That last minute v Leicester changed the season. Now we must keep momentum.”
